To find peace you need to know what it is. Peace for a person is a mental state of calmness and control. Meditation has a lot of benefits, the two most important things it has helped me with is with depression and during periods in my life when I have had a lot of stress in my life that has impacted my quality of life. Meditation gives you a break from the stressful moment or day you’re having so you can focus on yourself and just relax. 

There are a tremendous amount of different ways to meditate. You can do it sitting down, lying, standing or in the pose you might visualize right away, sitting with the legs crossed and with the hands on your knees. There is not one right way, the important part is that you find a way that works for you. I prefer mindfulness as I can do it practically anywhere and for very short periods of time and still get the benefits I want. 

How to do it? 

*Sit on a sofa or chair.

*Close your eyes and put one hand on your stomach.

*Focus on only your breathing, breathe in for five seconds and breathe out for five seconds.

*Make sure that you breathe with your stomach, that is why you should have your hand there to feel that you are breathing the right way. 

And that’s it, I just focus on my breathing and do it from a couple of minutes up to 10 minutes in a session. Afterwards I feel very relaxed and well rested. Try it for yourself, and don’t get discouraged if it feels hard the first time as it takes a little practice for some people. Or you can find and try a different method to manifest peace. 

Tip 3: Manifest peace in a sacred space

When your life gets crazy it can be nice to have a sacred space where you can get away for just a short break from your have to and musts. This space can be anywhere as long as you dont allow any stress to get in there. It can be a room in your house like your bedroom, a room at work where you can be alone for a short while or a beautiful place outside. Keep this space yours, its a plus if you have happy memories from it. 

This is also a perfect place if you want to try tip 1, as meditation is best done secluded from others. At Least in the beginning when you try to learn. 

Tip 4: Manifest peace by changing your perspective

When you are in a difficult time in your life one good way to manifest peace is to try to change your perspective. Yes, i know it sounds kind of cheesy and isn’t as easy as it sounds, i have been there myself. What I mean is not just to decide that your stress is gone or that you are happy, it just doesn’t work like that. But you can maybe change the outlook of things in your life. 

For every shitty thing in your life, try to find positive aspects of that. If you are swamped at work and you have to work harder than usual, maybe it is an opportunity to show the people you work with that you can do it and are willing to do it. So even though it sucks, it might be a way to a promotion later on.

If you have broken up with your partner and everything feels gray and you are really depressed about it, it might lead to something better later on. Maybe you suddenly have time for all that stuff you want to do, but didn’t have time to do before. Maybe the relationship wasn’t really that great when you think about it and you now have the possibility to find something new that is better. 

Changing your perspective doesn’t cure stress or depression, but it can really push you in the right direction. The things I wrote above are just two examples and I think you can find something positive out of most shitty situations to help you move towards manifesting peace.

Tip 5: Manifest peace by accepting not being perfect

I am not perfect, and the same goes for you and that is totally okay. We can’t do everything we set out to do and sometimes there is just not enough time. This goes when trying to manifest peace in your life. You can get disturbed when you are relaxing in your sacred place, your kids might call on you when you are meditating or some days there might just not be time to do any of these things at all. Accept that and you will have an easier time to get results, getting mad or irritated sends out bad vibrations. 

Tip 6: Self care for manifesting peace

It is important to do stuff you really enjoy to find peace in your life. That might mean a manicure, go swimming in the ocean or any other thing that you might really enjoy. Plan ahead if needed to, but make sure to take time to take care of yourself. You deserve it! The small things count too and many small things add up over time to a positive and peaceful lifestyle. 

But this tip goes the other way too, that is to take out stuff that you don’t like or are energy draining. Of Course this is just the stuff you don’t have to do, you can skip driving the kids to school because you’re stressed. But that old friend who you hang out with, that is always talking about just herself and dont leave at appropriate times. Take a break from seeing people like that, so you have time to focus more on you. The same goes for your own behaviors like spending too much time on social media or getting into a fight just because you already are irritated. It’s okay, we all have done it but we all also feel the same afterwards and it doesn’t help finding peace. 

Tip 7: Be the energy of peace

There is an expression that goes ”be the energy of what you desire”. It doesn’t matter what you are trying to manifest, you need to try and give out the vibrations of the things you are trying to manifest. Try to be peaceful in every situation to attract more peace into your life.
